Dear sisters and brothers in Christ,
These continue to be unusual and unprecedented times. The lack of certainty about gathering even in small groups. The loss of contact with people, loss of work, the changing nature of being confronted with the question: What is my purpose? When will this all end? I have been reflecting particularly on the Genesis reading for today during the week, of Jacob’s wrestling all night with God. Jacob personally had much to wrestle about, including where and what God was calling him to be and do. It can be our current times to that there are many issues we have to wrestle with, not least this current pandemic. Even the simple decisions we normally make require much more thought at this time, especially where we go and what we do. How we go about associating with others and need to balance our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and also support that of others. May you journey well with Christ this week. Fr Ian
